Public company data in Austria is generally accessible. In practice, however, it is often fragmented across different sources, subject to fees, embedded in PDF documents, or only available through registration and usage quotas. With the FinAPU Firmenbuch, the Austrian RegTech company FinAPU provides a new, free access point to structured company register data. The service is open to everyone — without registration, without usage limits and without hidden costs.
The FinAPU Firmenbuch has been available online since 1 February and is already being actively used. It is intended for anyone who regularly works with company information, particularly in risk management, due diligence, research, compliance and operational decision-making processes.
From available to usable: rethinking company register data
“In our daily work, we repeatedly see that the real problem is not access to data, but its usability,” says Karl Tasch, CEO of FinAPU. “Company register information is public, but often difficult to compare, slow to retrieve, or only available as unstructured PDFs. This is exactly where the FinAPU Firmenbuch comes in.” The tool provides Austrian company register data in a structured, consolidated format, enabling fast and direct use for analysis and decision-making purposes.
The FinAPU Firmenbuch is based on the structured processing of publicly accessible data from the Austrian company register. The information is collected automatically, technically standardized and transferred into a consistent data model. This results in structured company profiles that can be used immediately without the need for manual evaluation of individual documents. The data is updated once per day. FinAPU does not operate its own register and does not provide exclusive data; instead, it technically processes existing public information and makes it accessible in a consolidated form.
Free of charge and without access restrictions
Access to the FinAPU Firmenbuch is free of charge. The service is open to all users and is independent of any FinAPU customer relationship. There is no registration requirement, no usage limits and no quota system. This deliberately distinguishes the offering from traditional company register queries or platforms that rely on paywalls and access restrictions.
