New in the FinAPU Firmenbuch: Proceedings Context for Corporate Officer Roles
The FinAPU Firmenbuch now provides additional proceedings context for corporate officer roles. At a glance, users can see whether managing directors or other authorised representatives hold additional positions in companies with ongoing insolvency proceedings – free of charge and without registration.
Not every relevant piece of information can be found at the company itself
Almost every company assessment starts with the company itself. Master data, representation rights, legal form, LEI, EUID or annual financial statements form the basis of many analyses. However, information that is relevant to a decision often only emerges once connections become visible.
The FinAPU Firmenbuch now shows directly in the company profile whether authorised representatives hold additional positions in companies with ongoing insolvency proceedings. The information appears directly alongside the respective corporate officer role and provides immediate access to further details.
What does this mean in practice?
You are assessing a company and the company itself shows no apparent issues. With the new feature, you can now also see at a glance whether its authorised representatives hold additional positions in companies with ongoing insolvency proceedings.
A single click shows:
- which other companies are affected,
- the respective registration and proceedings status,
- as well as additional information relevant to the respective proceedings.
An important distinction is made here: being registered does not automatically mean being active. Insolvency, liquidation and dissolution are clearly differentiated and presented transparently.
This additional context reduces research effort and supports well-informed decisions.
Where does the information come from?
The information presented is based exclusively on publicly available register data. Sources include:
- Austrian Commercial Register HVD data (data.gv.at)
- Insolvency and Edicts Database of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Justice
- GLEIF (LEI)
The data is brought together in a structured format and updated daily.
Who is this feature particularly relevant for?
The new functionality is particularly relevant for users who regularly prepare business decisions or assess risks.
This includes:
- banks and credit institutions
- insurance companies
- auditors
- tax advisers
- compliance and legal departments
- due diligence teams
- research and analysis departments
More than just proceedings context
The proceedings context complements the existing information available in the FinAPU Firmenbuch. The following information, among other data, is available in a structured format and updated daily:
- company name, registered office and company status
- historical company names
- legal form and business purpose
- commercial register number, EUID and LEI
- management and representation rights
- proceedings status (insolvency, liquidation, dissolution)
- basic financial overview
- available annual financial statements
All information is brought together in the FinAPU Firmenbuch in a single interface and presented intuitively.
The FinAPU Firmenbuch remains free of charge and without usage limits
The FinAPU Firmenbuch continues to be available free of charge, without registration and without usage limits. It combines structured company data with decision-relevant context and is continuously being developed further. This gives users not only fast access to company register information, but also a sound basis for analysis and decision-making.
